Identifying what rodent infestation in your home is the first step in our rodent exclusion service. Before an on-site inspection, we learn what signs you have noticed that has you to suspect there are rats living in your property. The most common signs are scurrying, chewing, and squeaking noises in your attic at night. You may have also noticed rodent droppings, chewed food containers, gnawing marks on the walls and baseboards of your home or on house hold items. After discussing with you what your concerns are we then start our visual inspection inside and outside of your home.
Inside of your home the certified pest control technician will inspect your attic, in and around food storage areas, and where your trash and recycling bins are kept. In the attic we locate droppings, funneling, and possible foot prints on or around the air duct work or possible entry points. The garage and trash bin areas are inspected for droppings, urine stains, damaged containers, gnawing marks, and holes in the walls.
The pest control technician will examine the outside of your residence by searching for existing and possible pest entry points in the siding, roof, and fascia of your home. Surrounding shrubs, trees, tall grasses, and other vegetation that rodents prefer to access your home are identified. The perimeter of your property is also checked for rodent attracting plants like fruit and nut trees. Any foliage and other rat inhabitable debris are examined.
After the rodent causing the infestation is known, entry points are found, and the elements inviting rats is discovered; we then start our plan for the best pest solution.
Excluding the rodents by closing all holes and sealing any crevices where they can go in and out is our first and most important part of the process. We then trap and exterminate the remaining rodents in your property. We also educate you on how to create an unfriendly environment for rodents at your home.
Finally, a follow up inspection is performed. Traps that may have been left are removed. Closed entry points are thoroughly examined. All previously checked areas are re-inspected. This ensures that our pest control services and rodent removal and exclusions were successful.
